Woollen stoles require careful handling to maintain their softness, shape, and quality. Here’s a guide to washing woollen stoles:

1. Hand Washing:  Preparation: Fill a basin or sink with cool or lukewarm water. Never use hot water, as it can cause the wool to shrink. Detergent: Add a small amount of mild detergent specifically designed for wool or delicates. Washing: Submerge the woollen stole in the water and gently swish it around. Avoid rubbing or wringing, which can damage the fibers. Soaking: Let the stole soak for about 10-15 minutes.

2. Rinsing: Rinse Water: Drain the soapy water and refill the basin with clean, cool water. Rinsing Process: Gently swish the stole in the clean water to remove the detergent. You may need to rinse a few times to ensure all soap is removed.

3. Removing Excess Water: Do Not Wring: To remove excess water, gently press the stole against the side of the basin. Towel Method: Lay the stole flat on a clean, dry towel. Roll the towel up with the stole inside and gently press to absorb excess water.
